Kirkland 70’s Revival
Location: Kirkland, WA
This 1970s home had barely been touched since the day it was built — and it showed. But underneath the wear was something worth saving: soaring angles, honest bones, and a suspended wood-burning fireplace that practically begged to be the star of the room.
So we let it be.
Warm wood cladding, carefully chosen to echo the home's original spirit, climbs the dramatic vaulted walls. The angles that once felt awkward became the whole point. Light pours in, the treetops frame every window like living art, and a space that once felt dated now feels like a deliberate, considered retreat.
The result? Nearly a 4x return on the renovation investment — and a listing that crossed over from real estate into design inspiration.
